The industry has made significant strides towards being more ethically and socially responsible, although there is still much to be done. Michael Allchin, CEO of The Birmingham Assay Office will introduce an overview of the various solutions which are already making an impact, including the activities of the Responsible Jewellery Council, CIBJO and Fairtrade Fairmined Gold. The audience will have the opportunity to question and challenge panellists including Stephen Webster who will also explain his involvement with Fairtrade Fairmined Gold.
